Christina Nilsson in the title role of Aida in Stockholm
The Royal Swedish Opera presents a revival of Aida, staged by new Artistic Director Michael Cavanagh. In the title role of Aida we again hear Christina Nilsson, who made her role debut in the premiere of this production in 2018.
The opening night is on April 22, with further performances until May 27.
Christina has since her breakthrough with Aida in 2018 added several new roles to her repertoire. She has sung Ariadne in Ariadne auf Naxos in Oper Frankfurt, and at Opéra de Lausanne, Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro in Stockholm and Elsa in Lohengrin at Theater Dortmund and at Tiroler Festspiele in Austria.
