Peter Mattei as Il conte d'Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro in Dresden
Peter Mattei is this spring a guest at Semperoper in Dresden where he sings three performances of Il conte d'Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, a role he sang earlier this year at the Opéra national de Paris.
The production is staged by Johannes Erath and Peter will join the cast for the performances on April 7, 13 and 16, 2022.
Peter will later this spring sing Wozzeck in Valencia and will also appear as Don Giovanni at the Verbier festival. Next season will include two roles at the Metropolitan Opera; Rodrigo in Don Carlo and the title role in Don Giovanni in a new production by Belgian director Ivo van Hove.
