The Snow Queen opens at the Royal Swedish Opera with Susanna Stern, Wiktor Sundqvist, David Risberg, Jessica Elevant and Ivonne Fuchs in the cast.
The Royal Swedish Opera presents the Snow Queen - a family opera by Benjamin Staern. The Snow Squeen was commissioned by Malmö Opera with it's first performance at Malmö Opera in 2016 and is now getting a long-awaited Stockholm premiere.
The Snow Queen is staged by Elisabeth Linton and the Royal Swedish Orchestra is led by Cathrine Winnes. Susanna Stern who was a part of the original cast appears again in the title role and Wiktor Sundqvist returns to the role of Kaj. David Risberg as the Crow and Jessica Elevant as the Princess make their house debuts with this production. Ivonne Fuchs appears in three roles; the Flower Woman, Grandmother and the Old Robber Woman. The cast is also joined by Children from the Adolf Fredrik Music School.
The opening night is on December 15 with further performances until January 28, 2022.
