Moby-Dick at the Metropolitan Opera!
Peter Mattei sings Starbuck when the production of Moby-Dick arrives at the Metropolitan Opera. The opera is based on Herman Melville’s epic novel and is written by Jake Heggie and librettist Gene Scheer.
Moby Dick had its world premiere at the Dallas Opera in 2010 and has been played at an Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. The production has been enlarged and refined for the Met stage, where it opens on Monday, March 3, with further performances until March 29, 2025.
