Susanna Stern in the world premiere of the opera BLY by Karólína Eiríksdóttir with Piteå Chamber Opera.
Piteå Chamber Opera presents BLY a new opera by av Icelandic composer Karólína Eiríksdóttir and librettist Ann-Sofi Bárány. The opera is staged by Mellika Melouani Melani and the ensemble Norrbotten NEO is led by Anna-Maria Helsing. In the role of Kvinnan/The Woman we hear soprano Susanna Stern.
The premiere takes place in Piteå on September 23 and will be played until October 5, with performances at Norrlandsoperan in Umeå, as well as in Lycksele and Luleå.
Susanna Stern was last season singing the role of Julia Pastrana in the world premiere of the opera Cirkus Days and Nights by Philip Glass. Later this season Susanna will be a guest at the Royal Swedish Opera where she sings the title role in Snödrottningen - The Snow Queen.
